Don’t listen to the marketing campaign – Catfish isn’t the movie they want you to think it is. The posters ominously warn you to not “let anyone tell you what it is,” and seem to suggest some sort of thriller or horror flick. It’s unfortunate that they resort to making you play guessing games in order to see this film. With a story that’s driven primarily by events occurring on the internet, and a plot that constantly has you questioning the truth from those in front of and behind the camera, Catfish captures life in 2010 in a way that few other movies do. I’ll try to avoid giving away any of the specifics in this review, but it’s impossible to discuss this film without changing the way you’ll perceive it. If you want to go in with no preconceptions at all, stop reading now. Otherwise, read on. (more…)

Bus Driver: This Source Code Cut is one piece of ace, I know from experience dude. If you know what I mean.
Billy Madison: No, you don’t.
Bus Driver: Well, not me personally but a guy I know. He got in and *watched it on*. Wooo-eee!
Billy Madison: No, he didn’t.
Bus Driver: No, no, no he didn’t. But you could imagine what it’d be like if he did, right…?

Everybody on?! Good, great, grand, wonderful.
NO YELLING ON THE BUS!

Awhile back we wrote up a story called “Directors You Should Know About — Duncan Jones (Moon)”. Well Duncan Jones himself was nice enough to send us the twitter message seen above. Looks like he’s already done filming “Source Code” starring Jake Gyllenhaal and it will indeed be released in 2011! I can’t wait! Be sure to subscribe to our new Facebook/Twitter pages to automatically get all the latest updates on the film!
